I'm very stressed and pressured to get my license. I've been trying to for a year and a half now (I have only tested twice because I don't have the time to test more often)
To start off, here's what's pressuring me:
-My family. My mom and grandmother are always bugging me and bitching at me to get my license.
-I could potentially get a promotion at work sooner if I could drive.
-I have someone I've known for 3 years who lives in New Jersey wanting to see me, but can't because I don't have a license.
-I'm also trying to do my very best at work and online college right now.
Here's the scoop:
The first time I took my test was in Norristown. HUGE mistake. I mean sure, my parents didn't teach me a few of the basic controls, but I completely BOMBED the parallel parking by ramming the damn barrels. So of course I didn't pass. The next time I tried Malvern, since a lot of people say it's easy and that they got their license there. Well, I knew all the vehicle controls this time, but when I parallel parked, I was too far away from the curb!
I get I have an issue parallel parking, and my mom and I are going into town to practice it more soon, but with all the 'pressure points' I listed, I still feel deathly nervous when I go to take the test. Malvern was okay I guess, but having to drive through a busy parking lot and watch out for so many pedestrians makes my heart race. I mean, I can drive through a parking lot. No big deal. But when my license depends on it, and I have so much pressure, it gets very daunting.
My question is what's the absolute easiest place to get my license? No pressure from a lot of pedestrians, and a place I can go to to practice after hours. Do you think it matters that I space my driving tests too far apart to get any results? I've thought of that too.
Tell me what you think. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
